This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Randi Gladstone’s appeal against his rape conviction was dismissed by the Court of Appeal on 19 March 2026. He had been convicted of rape, sexual assault and false imprisonment arising from offences in Dublin in August 2023.

The court rejected three grounds of appeal, including challenges to the trial judge’s answer to a jury question about false imprisonment. It also rejected arguments about evidence concerning a phone number and the defence’s agreement to a statement about previous convictions.

Gladstone was sentenced at the Central Criminal Court on 14 March 2025 to 10 years’ imprisonment for rape, with concurrent five-year terms for sexual assault and false imprisonment, all running from 28 August 2023. In June 2025, he also received six months for failing to notify gardaí that he was a sex offender; that term was consecutive.
