This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Peter Little was sentenced to one year in prison for criminal damage at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. The proceedings were reported on 13 May 2021.

Little pleaded guilty to criminal damage. The damage occurred at an automated laundromat in Alexander House, Tallaght, on September 24 and 25, 2020, and repairs cost €730.52.

Judge Martin Nolan said the offence was at the lower end of the scale but imposed custody because of Little’s record. He had previously received concurrent three-year sentences, with the final year suspended in both cases; Wicklow District Court was due to consider reactivating the remainder on 18 May 2021.

The defence said Little’s serious drug addiction had worsened after the death of one of his children. His GP said he was receiving 60mg of methadone daily.
