Paul Moore, Damien O’Neill and Terence Sheridan get suspended contempt sentences

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Paul Moore, Damien O’Neill and Terence Sheridan received suspended 28-day prison sentences for contempt of a High Court order, reported on 26 November 2014. The order barred them from coming within 20 metres of contractors installing water meters in Dublin.

The High Court found that all three had breached the order. Their sentences were suspended for six months, provided they complied with the order made on 5 November.

The court proceedings arose from allegations that protesters breached the exclusion zone in north Dublin. The report said the men were not alleged to have engaged in separate violence against workers.
