This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Paul Beirne was jailed for 15 years for multiple offences at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 28 July 2023. The sentence followed a jury’s guilty verdicts on 15 charges over the attack at Falsk, Strokestown, on 16 December 2018.

Judge Martina Baxter imposed the 15-year term for the false imprisonment of security guard Ian Gordon. She also imposed terms for other convictions, including aggravated burglary, violent disorder, arson and animal cruelty; all sentences run concurrently and were backdated to when the men entered custody.

The judge declined to suspend any part of the sentences. The report says Martin O’Toole and PJ Sweeney were also sentenced to 15 years; David Lawlor had been found not guilty of all 17 charges.
