Patrick Harte’s sentencing for indecently assaulting boys was adjourned at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 7 July 2020. The offences occurred at Sancta Maria Christian Brothers primary school on Synge Street, Dublin, between September 1968 and September 1970.
Harte had been convicted of 11 counts involving seven boys after a trial. His lawyers said he had been admitted to Tallaght hospital with symptoms including cardiac issues, and the judge adjourned the case to Thursday.
The court had refused an application to postpone sentencing for two months. Harte remained on bail, and the judge said the case would be dealt with during the term.
