Paddy McCann was jailed for ten months for sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 10 October 2015. The offence occurred at a bus stop in Dublin on 20 September 2014.

McCann had pleaded guilty to the offence. The court was told that he repeatedly kissed the teenager without consent before following her onto a bus, where she escaped upstairs.

He later apologised and said he could not remember the incident because of whiskey. Judge Martin Nolan described McCann as “delusional” that day and a “complete nuisance to society”.
