This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Oleksandr Hrudovyy has pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving causing death at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 21 October 2019. The charge concerns the death of William Carrick on Swords Road, Cloghran, Dublin, on 22 May 2015.

The prosecution alleges Mr Hrudovyy was inattentive when he moved his truck forward after stopping across a pedestrian crossing. The defence says the death was a tragic accident and that Mr Carrick may have been in a blind spot; the judge had begun directing the jury, with that direction due to continue the following day.

This case may have concluded differently. The outcome has not yet been confirmed by a public source we could find.
