Nikkita Brogan received a 32-month sentence, with the final 12 months suspended on conditions, at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 14 December 2021.

Brogan pleaded guilty to unlawful seizure of a vehicle at Rutland Grove, Crumlin, on 6 May 2019. The proceedings were reported on 14 December 2021.

Judge Melanie Greally noted that Brogan unbuckled the taxi driver's seatbelt and that the offence was accompanied by an assault on the driver. The driver said the women stayed in the back seat and did not threaten or assault him, although they did not tell the men to stop.

Her friend, who was also in the taxi, has since died.
