Nebojsa Rasic was jailed for four years for endangerment and dangerous driving at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 29 October 2024, after a pursuit through Dublin.
Rasic pleaded guilty to three endangerment charges, three dangerous driving charges, possession of cannabis for sale or supply, having the proceeds of crime, and driving without insurance or a licence.
The charges related to events on 5 January 2024, including near Sheriff Street and on the M1 motorway. During the pursuit, he dragged one Garda and struck another as he drove through an accident scene; the court heard that people nearby had to move out of his path.
Judge Martin Nolan also disqualified Rasic from driving for eight years. The judge said evidence of Rasic’s significant mental health issues led him to impose a shorter prison term than he otherwise would have.
