Michelle Keane denied leave to challenge Kerry election result
This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.
Michelle Keane’s application to challenge the Kerry election result was refused by the High Court on 11 March 2025.
The court said she applied for leave on 7 March, beyond the 14-day limit after the result was declared on the weekend of 30 November 2024. Her application alleged ballot irregularities at the Kerry constituency poll held on 29 November 2024.
The judge also ruled that Keane could not pursue requests for disclosure of election documents through the leave application, which had concluded when leave was refused.
