Man given fully suspended 12-month sentence for possessing child sexual abuse images

Joao Silva Pinto, 25, was sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to 12 months in prison, suspended in full on strict conditions, after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography on a phone at his Dublin home on 18 June 2022.

Judge Martina Baxter cited the nature of the material and harm to real child victims as aggravating factors.
