This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Lisa O’Brien was warned at the High Court on 17 July 2020 that she could be jailed if she failed to vacate an apartment in Ballycullen, Dublin 24. Ms Justice Leonie Reynolds found she had deliberately breached an existing order to leave the property. The judge gave her until 5pm on Monday, 20 July, to vacate.

The apartment had been acquired by the Housing and Sustainable Communities Agency, which alleged that Ms O’Brien was trespassing and said it intended to allocate the property to someone needing accommodation. If Ms O’Brien failed to leave, the judge directed that gardaí bring her before the court as soon as practicable. Ms O’Brien said she had nowhere else to go, disputed the mortgage transfer and intended to appeal the possession order and the High Court order directing her to vacate.
