This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

The High Court adjourned an application by the Revenue Commissioners to wind up Limerick FC. The matter was mentioned before Mr Justice David Keane on 22 October 2018.

Revenue’s collector general petitioned to wind up Munster Football Club Ltd, which trades as Limerick FC, and to have a liquidator appointed. The petition arose from an alleged failure to pay a demand for unpaid taxes, including PAYE and PRSI.

The demand was made on the company in mid-September. Its registered address was in Bruff, Co Limerick.

Dermot Cahill BL, for the Collector General, told the court that the parties had agreed the petition could be adjourned for three weeks. The amount sought was not mentioned in open court.
