Laura Connolly told the Disclosures Tribunal about an error in McCabe records. The proceedings were reported on 10 July 2017.

She said she incorrectly combined a 2006 allegation with a more serious sexual abuse allegation introduced by mistake. The Director of Public Prosecutions had dismissed the 2006 allegation.

Connolly also completed intake records on Sergeant Maurice McCabe’s four children, following instructions from her team leader.

She became aware of the error in June 2017, although Tusla had learned about it in May 2014.
