Larry Connors lost his sentence appeal over endangerment and dangerous driving at the Court of Appeal on 31 March 2017. The offences arose from driving in Dublin on 1 May 2014.
The court held that the sentence imposed by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court was within the sentencing judge’s discretion. Connors had pleaded guilty and received six years’ imprisonment, with the final two years suspended, on 24 June 2016.
He was also disqualified from driving for 20 years. The appeal court said it would not interfere with the sentence, and dismissed the appeal.
