Krzysztof Wojtalski lost his appeal against a four-year sentence for cultivating cannabis at the Court of Appeal on 12 November 2018.

Gardaí found 30 mature and 115 immature cannabis plants in an underground bunker beneath a pig shed in Carlow, with the crop valued at €32,000.

Wojtalski had been convicted of cultivating and possessing cannabis for supply after claiming the plants were hemp for personal use. The court held that his sentence fell within the available range and dismissed the appeal.
