Kevin Brazil's case over sexual assault was adjourned at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 25 March 2021. The proceedings concerned his conviction for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy in Dublin in 2002.
The Director of Public Prosecutions was applying to revoke the suspended portion of a sentence previously imposed on Brazil. He is currently serving a two-and-a-half-year prison term imposed by the Central Criminal Court for sexual assault.
The application followed Brazil's conviction on three counts of dangerous driving in Dublin District Court. The court heard that gardaí had stopped him after a high-speed pursuit through a Tallaght housing estate, with a teenage boy in the car.
Judge Elma Sheahan adjourned the matter to March 2022 so the court could consider the totality of the matters before it.
