Kenneth Powell pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, as reported on 29 July 2014. The images were found at his home in North Strand, Dublin, and the court remanded him in custody for sentencing in October.

Powell and co-accused Kevin Bowes were found with 92 images depicting children aged from under 10 to 17. Judge Patricia Ryan ordered that Powell be registered as a sex offender and requested a Probation Service report before sentencing.
