Jonathan McLoughlin was put under probation for aiding and abetting deception at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 12 November 2016. The court heard that he had allowed his bank account to be used in an Electric Picnic ticket scam.

McLoughlin had pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting an unknown person in the offence of deception. Judge Patricia Ryan said he was not the orchestrator and had been taken advantage of because of his learning disability.

The court heard that €2,630 was lodged to his account, while €1,845 was later distributed among injured parties. Gardaí could not confirm who made the ATM withdrawals, and no other person had been charged.
