This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Jeff Hendrick was acquitted of violent disorder at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 7 July 2017. The charge related to an incident outside a Dublin nightclub on 12 October 2013.

The jury reached its verdict after a four-day trial and 29 minutes of deliberation. The prosecution alleged that Hendrick pulled Darren McDermott from a taxi after a row at Krystal nightclub, before McDermott was chased and assaulted in a nearby laneway.

Hendrick’s lawyers argued that a leg injury meant he could not have run after the taxi. The court also heard that McDermott had suffered serious jaw and dental injuries, but Hendrick was found not guilty of the charge.
