Jason O'Driscoll’s double-murder trial heard CCTV reconstruction evidence at the Central Criminal Court. He has pleaded not guilty to murdering Anthony Burnett and Joseph Redmond in Co Louth on 7 March 2012. The proceedings were reported on 8 November 2017.
Forensic image analyst Matthew Cass described a reconstruction involving about a dozen vehicles, while the jury heard evidence about cars seen near Ravensdale Forest Park and in Meigh, Co Armagh. Fellow analyst Andrew Wooller had testified that the reconstruction was of reduced value because both CCTV systems had been changed in the meantime. The trial then moved into legal argument before Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy.
