Haremi Limited wins costs ruling in trademark case

By Gráinne Nolan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Haremi Limited won its costs ruling in the High Court on 19 May 2023 after bringing a trade mark infringement claim against three defendants. The court awarded the company costs for its interlocutory motion.

The defendants had given undertakings to stop using the trade mark, preserve infringing goods and disclose supplier and purchaser information. They said the infringement was an innocent mistake caused by internal errors and lack of awareness, but the court rejected that explanation.

The earlier proceedings were before Mr Justice Brian O'Moore, and the dispute had settled except for the costs issue.
