Greyhound Recycling & Recovery was fined €25,000 in Dublin Circuit Court in a waste offences case. The Environmental Protection Agency’s 2017 annual report also records €50,000 in Circuit Court costs.

The Director of Public Prosecutions brought the case following an EPA investigation. It concerned the unauthorised transfer of waste during 2012 to five locations that were not authorised to accept it.

The report said additional offences related to a failure to maintain waste records, the provision of false and misleading information to the EPA, and storage at the company’s Clondalkin, County Dublin, facility contrary to licence conditions.
