This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Graham Dwyer has pleaded not guilty to murdering Elaine O’Hara. The charge concerns Killakee, Rathfarnham, on 22 August 2012, hours after her discharge from a mental health hospital. The proceedings were reported on 20 February 2015. The report covered the 22nd day of his Central Criminal Court trial.

His former partner, Ms McShea, said he had described a fantasy of stabbing a woman during sex. She said he subsequently brought a kitchen knife into their bedroom and pretended to stab her during sex. She confirmed that he had never actually stabbed her.

The report also described evidence heard the previous day from Detective Garda Bríd Wallace about Elaine O’Hara’s laptops. Searches on her MacBook included a Buck Special 119 knife in July 2012, with browser history at the same time involving stabbing, death and mutilation.

Under cross-examination by Remy Farrell SC, defending, the detective agreed that violent images apparently originating from bestgore.com appeared to have been saved to the MacBook in folders named Killing and Dead Files.

An essay on the MacBook recorded adwejchert as its author and last editor, with creation and modification dates of 29 November 2011. Wallace explained that this was the logged-in user’s profile name. The trial had heard that Dwyer was a director at A&D Wejchert. Under defence questioning, she confirmed that an identical document had been found on one of his computers and said it could have reached Elaine O’Hara’s computer by email or USB stick.

Mr Justice Tony Hunt told the jury that proceedings would continue in its absence on Monday and Tuesday. Farrell’s cross-examination was due to continue before the jury the following Wednesday.
