A document entitled Jenny’s First Rape was read to the jury on the 32nd day of Graham Dwyer’s murder trial at the Central Criminal Court.

Graham Dwyer faced a charge of murdering Elaine O’Hara at Killakee, Rathfarnham, Dublin, on 22 August 2012. He had pleaded not guilty.

The proceedings were reported on 6 March 2015. Mr Justice Tony Hunt warned jurors that they were about to hear difficult evidence before the document was read.

Detective Garda Brid Wallace testified that she found a folder on a hard drive seized from Graham Dwyer’s home. The folder held a three-page document saved as E.doc, with a creation date of 31 May 2005. She said Graham Dwyer’s name appeared in the file’s Author and Last Modified fields.

Prosecuting counsel Seán Guerin SC read the first-person account aloud. The document included an image and described an attack on a young stranger in Newcastle.

The trial was continuing before a jury comprising five women and seven men.
