Graham Dwyer murder action remains before High Court

By Niamh Kearney

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Graham Dwyer’s High Court action over his murder conviction will proceed before Mr Justice Tony O’Connor on 20 February, after a three-judge divisional court was deemed inappropriate. The decision was reported on 12 January 2018.

Dwyer claims provisions of the Communications (Retention of Data) Act 2011 breached his privacy rights, an argument opposed by the State. His action challenges the use of mobile phone records connected with the murder investigation and is expected to take six to eight days.
