Gordon O'Brien received a four-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty to six counts of dishonestly using a computer to make a gain or cause loss at Anglo Irish Bank in Henry Street.
The report said he transferred €200,000 of clients' money into accounts he controlled over ten months in 2010 and 2011, and that the money was later repaid in full. Judge Patricia Ryan noted the offending was planned and premeditated but considered his severe financial pressure and other mitigating factors, including his son's autism diagnosis and treatment costs. The proceedings were reported on 25 July 2014.
