Glenda Gilson restricted as company director for five years

By Tadhg O'Sullivan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Glenda Gilson was given a five-year conditional restriction order over company director duties by the High Court on 13 November 2015. The order arose from the liquidation of Gilson Motor Company Ltd, which traded in high-value vehicles and operated a parking and valeting service at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin.

The restriction means she cannot become a company director unless the company has paid-up share capital of at least €63,000. The court accepted that Ms Gilson played no active role and did not act dishonestly, but found she had not kept herself informed about the company’s affairs.
