This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Glen McLoughlin received an 18-month sentence, suspended in full for three years, at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court after pleading guilty to possession of MDMA for sale or supply. Judge Orla Crowe imposed the sentence. The proceedings were reported on March 12, 2026.

The charge related to MDMA found in a wardrobe at his former Scribblestown Rise address in Finglas on November 19, 2024, including €15,078 worth of the drug and two weighing scales. McLoughlin said he did not own the MDMA but was holding and supplying it to reduce his own drug debt. The report said he had no previous convictions, and Garda Sharon Clarke agreed under defence cross-examination that he had not been on the garda radar at the time.
