Gerard O’Brien appeals attempted rape and sexual assault convictions

Former Circuit Court judge Gerard O’Brien, 61, appealed his Central Criminal Court convictions for attempted anal rape and eight counts of sexual assault.

At the Court of Appeal, the State urged that the convictions stand; the three-judge court reserved judgment.
