George Arundel lost his appeal against his rape conviction at the Court of Appeal, reported on 27 January 2015. The conviction concerned an attack at Tinker's Field, Tinker's Cross, Cork City, on 23 May 2011.

Arundel had been convicted by a jury of attempted rape, sexual assault, rape and false imprisonment, and sentenced to 10 years in prison. The appeal court rejected his argument that the verdict was against the weight of the evidence and declined to interfere with the sentence.
