Dublin Circuit Criminal Court ordered Francie Stokes to complete 150 hours of community service in place of an 18-month prison sentence. The order followed a probation assessment of his suitability, after the case had been adjourned for that assessment.

Stokes had pleaded guilty to possessing €52,355 in proceeds of crime in his AIB account in Lucan on June 2, 2020. The court heard the funds had been transferred fraudulently from an aviation company in Germany; AIB recovered €28,000, while about €24,000 remained outstanding after withdrawals.
