Rishabh Mahajan, 31, was sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to concurrent sentences totalling 16 months, with the final 12 months suspended on strict conditions. Judge Martina Baxter sentenced him on 3 June 2026. The proceedings were reported on 4 June 2026.
Mahajan pleaded guilty to four counts of offensive conduct of a sexual nature likely to cause fear, distress or alarm to named persons, and to a sexual assault. The offences involved three women in incidents in October and November 2024.
Judge Baxter said Mahajan offended against women who were alone, including one working at night, and noted that he had made no attempt to hide. She acknowledged that there had been no threats or physical violence, while saying the repeat offending was serious in itself.
The judge took his guilty plea and letter of apology into account. The court heard he was assessed at moderate risk of sexual reoffending, and the judge told him he was registered as a sex offender. A deportation order was in existence, and the judge said the prosecuting Garda should be contacted about it before his release.
