This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Farah Damji’s appeal against extradition for stalking-type offences and breaching a restraining order was dismissed by the Supreme Court, reported on 16 June 2022.

The five-judge court unanimously upheld the High Court’s findings that the evidence did not establish she would be denied reasonable and required treatment in the UK.

Damji had been convicted in her absence at Southwark Crown Court of twice breaching a restraining order and sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment.

She had fled to Ireland during her London trial in February 2020, and was arrested in Dublin in August 2020.
