Eric Eoin Marques is fighting extradition in the High Court over US charges of conspiring to distribute and advertise child pornography, and advertising and distributing child pornography.

His lawyers sought to have the case dealt with in Ireland. Remy Farrell SC said on 22 October 2013 that he wanted to make a submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions under section 15 of the Extradition Act. The case was due to be mentioned again before Mr Justice John Edwards in three weeks. The proceedings were reported on 23 October 2013.
