Edward McNamee gave evidence at Dublin District Coroner’s Court on 14 June 2023 about fire safety at the Stardust.

McNamee said he had received no fire drills during his time working at the club. He also described using his bicycle lamp to help an assistant manager find keys and open an exit door as the fire spread.

The fire at the Stardust killed 48 people on 14 February 1981.
