A driver was charged and released to appear before Blanchardstown District Court after a fatal collision on Hartstown Road. He had been arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving.

Claire Hewitt was fatally struck while walking home from a local pub with a friend at around 2.40am on 3 January 2016. The second woman was seriously injured and remained in hospital when the report was published.
