Derek Byrne jailed for firearm and ammunition possession

Derek Byrne, 38, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition on the N4 at Rathowen on 3 December 2019.

He was sentenced to seven and a half years, with the final 18 months suspended.
