This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Declan Brady was jailed for an additional seven years and three months for money laundering at the Special Criminal Court on 30 July 2021. He had pleaded guilty to further money laundering charges on 14 June 2021, including laundering €418,654 through bank accounts. The proceedings were reported on 30 July 2021.

Mr Justice Tony Hunt was among the judges who sentenced Brady. The additional term was imposed on top of the 11-and-a-half-year sentence he was already serving for firearms offences. The court also gave Deirdre Brady and Erica Lukacs three-year suspended sentences, but those were separate defendants' outcomes.
