Survivor Deborah Osbourne described escaping the Stardust fire at Dublin District Coroner’s Court on 9 November 2023.

She said the heat felt like a living thing pursuing her as she tried to escape through an exit.

Osbourne said thick smoke made it impossible to see, and she fell while trying to reach safety.

She described burns to her hand, shoulder, arm, face and head, and said smoke damaged her lungs.
