David Clarke jailed for evading cigarette and tobacco duty

David Clarke, 61, of Cabra, pleaded guilty to evading excise duty on cigarettes and fine-cut tobacco intended for cigarette rolling on 5 September 2022.

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court sentenced him to 16 months’ imprisonment.

The case was recorded in March 2024.
