Darren Rice’s robbery sentence replaced on appeal

Darren Rice, 32, had his fully suspended sentence quashed by the Court of Appeal, which imposed four years’ imprisonment, with the final year suspended.

He was convicted of robbery and three attempted robberies in Cork City on 28 March 2021.

The case was recorded in July 2022.
