Darragh Corbally received a two-year suspended sentence for possessing cannabis for sale or supply at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 17 July 2020. The offence occurred at his home in Sperrin Road, Drimnagh, Dublin, on 22 December 2017. Corbally had pleaded guilty to the charge after gardaí seized 2,411g of cannabis valued at €48,236 from his bedroom. Judge Karen O’Connor said she could depart from the mandatory minimum sentence because of his youth when offending, early guilty plea and other factors. The court heard he had engaged with the Probation Service, returned to education and been offered a place at third level.
