Cork man found guilty of raping former partner

A Cork man was found guilty of rape at the Central Criminal Court, reported on 21 February 2017.

The verdict concerned an alleged attack at the former couple’s Cork city home on 8 September 2013. He had also pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting the woman and to assault causing harm at the same address on 10 July 2013.

The report said Mr Justice Paul Coffey was due to sentence him for the offences on 8 May.
