Evidence has concluded in Conor McGregor’s civil trial at the High Court over Nikita Hand’s allegation that he raped her in a Dublin hotel on 9 December 2018. The proceedings were reported on 15 November 2024. McGregor and James Lawrence deny the claims and say the sex was consensual. Mr Justice Alexander Owens told the jury that legal discussions and closing arguments would follow. The final defence witness, Professor Basil John Farnan, said bruising can appear within hours or take 24 to 48 hours, depending on the tissue and trauma. The report also recorded a challenge that the sertraline bruising explanation had not been put to previous medical witnesses.
