Clonkeen College board members lost an application in the High Court on 27 March 2018 to change the names of the plaintiffs in their playing fields dispute.
Ms Justice Carmel Stewart refused the application, ruling there was no evidence of a naming mistake or uncertainty about the plaintiffs’ identity. The case was adjourned to 10 April 2018.
The proceedings concern the Christian Brothers’ proposed sale of about seven acres used by the Deansgrange school for sports. The congregation opposes the action and says it has binding contracts to sell the lands.
