The jury in Ciara Kelleher’s trial was discharged on 1 March 2023 after failing to agree on a verdict. The proceedings were reported on 1 March 2023.

Kelleher, 51, of Blackhorse Avenue, Dublin 7, had denied one charge of conspiring with others to defraud investors, clients and customers of Custom House Capital Ltd by intentionally misleading them about where or how their assets had been placed. The alleged offences occurred between October 2008 and July 2011.

After a four-week trial, the jury had been deliberating since the previous Thursday. It was given the option of returning a majority verdict before telling Judge Crowe it could not reach agreement. The judge thanked the jurors for their care and attention.

The case was adjourned for a week. The prosecution had not yet indicated whether it would seek a retrial.
