A jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court failed to agree on a verdict on the conspiracy to defraud charge against Ciara Kelleher on 1 March 2023.
Kelleher, a former financial services manager from Blackhorse Avenue, Dublin 7, had pleaded not guilty to conspiring with others to defraud Custom House Capital clients by misleading them about where their assets were placed. The offences were alleged to have occurred in Ireland between October 2008 and July 2011.
After deliberating for more than 15 hours, jurors told Judge Orla Crowe they could not reach a verdict. The judge discharged the jury and adjourned the case for mention on 8 March; Kelleher remained on continuing bail.
The prosecution had alleged that Kelleher was part of a scheme to hide the true location of some client money through incorrect valuations. She denied wrongdoing. The jury’s failure to agree did not determine the charge.
