Carl Byrne jailed for attempted robbery and drug offences

Carl Byrne, 37, of Rathfarnham, pleaded guilty to attempted robbery and producing a knife, and to possessing drugs for sale or supply.

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court imposed a three-year-nine-month sentence for attempted robbery and concurrent 12-month sentences for the drug offences.

The case was recorded in December 2025.
