Brian Carroll was jailed for three pharmacy robberies at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on 17 February 2023, receiving five and a half years with the final year suspended.

He pleaded guilty to three robbery counts involving north Dublin pharmacies between 1 and 4 November 2022. Judge Martin Nolan imposed the sentence.

Defence counsel said Carroll’s long-standing drug addiction had worsened after his partner died in 2021, and the court heard he had been in custody since his arrest. The proceedings were reported on 17 February 2023.
